Nick Buis

Nick manages and implements strategic campaigns for political, non-profit, and corporate clients, and supports the firm’s relationships with key partners.

His deepest campaign work traces to 2012, when he served as General Election Director for President Obama’s campaign in Florida. He designed and executed the strategy that delivered the most unexpected result of that year’s electoral map, with Republicans and Democrats alike crediting him for overcoming what Politico called “a daunting set of obstacles for Obama.”

He went on to manage partner relations for the 2013 Presidential Inaugural Committee, then became National Field Director for Mayors Against Illegal Guns, the country’s largest gun safety organization, where he supervised a staff of 50 across the country. He later served as Get-Out-The-Vote Director at the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, building individual turnout plans across dozens of competitive U.S. House races, after cutting his teeth managing campaigns for congressional, mayoral, gubernatorial, and state-level nonprofit efforts.

Nick holds a B.A. in Political Science, with a minor in Economics, from West Virginia University. Outside of work, he prioritizes time with his family.
