Liza handles political and opposition research, candidate and client vetting, and ongoing political intelligence for the firm’s clients. She also supports clients in their most sensitive research, messaging, and intelligence work.
She provides mission-critical research for clients on prospective partners, counterparties, and candidates in the U.S. and abroad, identifying the legal, political, and reputational risks that matter. Her information gathering is the foundation for the firm’s media preparation, political analysis, and policy monitoring, ensuring the firm’s efforts, both public and private, can withstand scrutiny from reporters and opposing interests.
Liza has led the firm’s research practice for nearly a decade, broadening it to cover international political campaigns, corporate opposition research, and open-source investigations into the funding behind anonymous political groups. She began her career in government, working for Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe and Senators Tim Kaine and Jim Webb.
Liza holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Iowa. An Alexandria, Virginia native, she lives in Washington, DC, where she evangelizes for the Iowa Hawkeyes and the local professional teams. She will never walk past a historical plaque without stopping to read it.
