Blaise develops the strategies, narratives, and messaging that position clients to win in complex political and regulatory environments.
For clients across sectors—energy, health care, finance, manufacturing, and tech—he plans campaigns, directs in-depth risk assessments and policy analysis, and crafts narratives personalized to audiences and political priorities. He runs brand positioning workshops for companies from pre-seed startups to global corporations, creates full messaging frameworks for companies to use in regulatory engagements, and drafts talking points and speeches for key moments and meetings. He also leads Fortius’ global narrative and oversees the digital infrastructure of the firm and its subsidiaries.
Before Fortius, Blaise spent six years at Blue State, the digital agency behind Barack Obama’s presidential campaigns, rising to Deputy Director of Communications and managing a 25-person team across five cities. There he led communications, fundraising, and advocacy efforts for Kaiser Permanente, the NAACP, Google, Khan Academy, and the Sierra Club. He also served on both Obama campaigns, working in opposition research in 2008 and in email fundraising in 2012.
Blaise holds a B.F.A. in Writing for Film and Television from the University of Southern California. He lives in Denver, where he makes paella, coaches his son’s soccer team, and shoots film on his grandfather’s Hasselblad.
